Jasci & Marchesani was the first winery in Italy to produce organic: (starting in 1978) a choice of life even before a choice of production, a process that began back in in 1980 when there was no real market for this type of wine.
From the production area of Vasto/Monteodorisio/Casalbordino, at 190 metres above sea level, grown on rows with spurred cordon, the grapes for this wine are hand harvested. Vinification is on the skins at the controlled temperature of 25°C for at least 115 days, and the wine spends 6 months in oak barrels.
Intense ruby red with light violet highlights, the bouquet is fruity, with hints of mature red fruits, jams, and slight notes of cinnamon and vanilla. Balanced and harmonious with a touch of pleasant tannins.
